CVBL: Bob Satisfied With New Orleans Win

New Orleans overpowered New York today, showing who is the better team. Most around the league expected this kind of result, but New York head coach Bob was defiant until game time. "Underdogs, my ----. We've got enough talent and enough heart to play with anybody in the league." Afterwards, his tune had changed significantly. "We've got some work ahead of us before we can play at their level."

The only bright point for New York was the great play by Ortega, and Bob was quick to praise his star. "If the whole team had played with his energy, we'd have been able to play with New Orleans. The bright side is that we know what he can do against them, and we'll try to build on that for our next meeting."

New Orleans was led by Fletcher (20 points, 13 boards, 1 assists), Bobb (8 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 5 blocks), Haines (17 points, a steal, a block). New York was led by Ortega (29 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals), Knott (21 points, 8 boards, 0 assists), Seidel (12 points, 2 steals).

New Orleans jump to 41-28 and 22-10 at home. They remain at #3 in the Southwest and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference. With today's loss, New York are now 33-38. They hold at #3 in the Atlantic and stay at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
