CVBL: Utah Beats Cleveland in Blowout

Cleveland suffered another humiliating defeat today, with the 109-75 loss to Utah increasing calls for coach Bob's dismissal. It's looking to be a tough season for the embattled coach, who simply hasn't brought in the level of talent or coaching required to succeed at this level. Said Utah star Bernard after the game, "I can't be sure who to blame, but Cleveland doesn't appear to be headed anywhere. Their coach hasn't brought in the kind of players he needed to, and it really didn't look like they knew what to do out there. Coach always comes up with a solid game plan for us and drills it into us, and I'm pretty sure he'd be able to do a better job than Bob is doing with Cleveland."

Utah coach Coach Young refused to comment on the Cleveland coaching situation. "It's easy to be critical from where we stand, but I don't know enough about that situation to comment. I'm just happy with how we played today. We've got a great group of players and they did a tremendous job."

Utah was led by Bernard (14 points, 13 boards, 1 assists), Bush (15 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Cyr (8 points, a steal, 2 blocks). Cleveland was led by Taylor (16 points, 1 assists, 2 steals), Taylor (12 points, 2 steals, a block), Gill (7 points, 1 assists, a block).

Utah jump to 36-33 with this win. They hold at #3 in the Northwest and hold at #7 overall in the Western Conference. Cleveland are now 30-38 and 19-16 at home with the loss. They stay at #2 in the Central and remain at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
