CVBL: Brooklyn Beats Boston 102-92
Brooklyn beat Boston today in a 102-92 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Boston would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Dick. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Brooklyn star Alves leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Brooklyn coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Alves was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Brooklyn was led by Alves (17 points, 11 boards, 4 assists, 3 blocks), Lee (15 points, 14 boards, 2 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Miller (6 points, 13 assists, 3 steals). Boston was led by Dick (9 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Jasper (18 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block), Pack (21 points, a steal).
Brooklyn are now 48-22 with today's victory. They remain at #2 in the Atlantic and stay at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. Boston are now 25-45 and 17-18 at home with the loss. They hold at #5 in the Atlantic and hold at #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
