CVBL: 117-95 Chicago

Meyers was unstoppable today, leading Chicago to a 117-95 win over New York. "I've never seen anything like that," said New York star Ortega. "Meyers just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Meyers refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Meyers certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

Chicago was led by Meyers (26 points, 12 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Wilson (8 points), Horton (16 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks). New York was led by Ortega (27 points, 5 boards, 1 assists), Dixon (16 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Knott (12 points, 2 assists, a steal, a block).

Chicago jump to 41-29 and 25-13 at home with this win. They hold at #3 in the Central and stay at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, New York are now 33-39. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and fall to #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
