CVBL: Miami Gets Solid 120-97 Win
Everything clicked for Miami today, as they soundly beat Boston 120-97. Boston looked beaten for most of the afternoon, and the final outcome was in little doubt. "I thought we came out ready to play, but we were just overmatched," said Boston coach Bob. "It's kind of demoralizing to lose that way, knowing that you played your best and it wasn't nearly enough." Bob now has the unenviable task of getting his team ready to face another day.
Miami coach Bob couldn't be happier, though. His game plan was executed perfectly, and his players were able to dominate all aspects of the game. "It's great to get a win like this, when everything went according to plan."
Miami was led by Fenty (21 points, 20 boards, 3 assists), Files (19 points, a block), Roberson (16 points, 12 boards, 1 assists). Boston was led by Stubbs (20 points, 2 assists), Dubois (17 points, a block), Boyd (10 points, 2 steals, a block).
Miami are now 39-30 with today's victory. They remain at #2 in the Southeast and stay at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this loss, Boston fall to 27-41 and 18-16 at home. They stay at #5 in the Atlantic and move down to #12 overall in the Eastern Conference.
