CVBL: Dallas Upends Brooklyn 99-98
A much-improved Dallas team pulled off the 99-98 upset of Brooklyn today. "That's the best we've played all season," said Dallas coach Bob. "I've seen that potential in us all along, but for some reason it hasn't come out during games. Hopefully this outing can be the turning point for us that we can build on in future games."
Brooklyn was caught off-guard by new-look Dallas. "What we got out there today wasn't what we had seen before or on tape, even in their best games. So while we always try to prepare for the worst, we had no idea that they could play as well as they did today. I still think we can beat them, and next time we'll have an idea what to look for."
Dallas was led by Perry (23 points, 5 boards, 0 assists), Forrester (23 points), Williams (16 points, 5 boards, 1 assists). Brooklyn was led by Jeanlouis (26 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Lee (15 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, a block), Spring (21 points, a steal, a block).
With the victory, Dallas jump to 34-38. They remain at #3 in the Southwest and stay at #10 overall in the Western Conference. Brooklyn are now 48-23 and 26-8 at home. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference.
