CVBL: Philadelphia 105, Toronto 99
Wilson continues to dominate the league and helped Philadelphia post an expected win over Toronto, 105-99. The game was a solid team effort, but Wilson - a favorite for post-season honors - was outstanding, completely overshadowing a great performance by Toronto key player, Day.
Wilson's coach, Bob, had nothing but praise for his star. "He's just special. It's something just to sit back and watch him do his thing. He certainly brings pride to Philadelphia fans everywhere." Toronto coach Bob was concilliatory after the game as well. "When Wilson is doing his thing, you just hope you can keep him under control. We didn't, though Day certainly did his part. We really thought we could win this game, so the locker room is pretty quiet right now. We'll just have to turn our focus to next week."
Philadelphia was led by Wilson (9 points, 3 steals), Blunt (14 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Ziegler (18 points, 3 assists). Toronto was led by Day (21 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, a steal), Wright (8 points, 19 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Daniels (28 points).
Philadelphia stand at 39-33 and 28-10 at home after this victory. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, Toronto are now 34-36. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and drop to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
