"He told me Portland was a tough team and that he needed me to play my best out there. He was right; I felt that when I started getting the job done, it gave the rest of the team a boost."

Said Portland coach Bob, "He was magnificent out there. I'd like to think that we could have won if he hadn't played, but I doubt it. Their whole team was too good for us today."

Miami improve to 43-28 and 29-9 at home. They clinched the Southeast title and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. Portland are now 50-22 with this defeat. They remain at #1 in the Northwest and hold at #2 overall in the Western Conference.
