CVBL: Miami Beats Portland in Blowout
A great game by Colomb led Miami to a 123-91 blowout of Portland. "Coach had a talk with me before the game," said Colomb afterwards. "He told me Portland was a tough team and that he needed me to play my best out there. He was right; I felt that when I started getting the job done, it gave the rest of the team a boost."
Said Portland coach Bob, "He was magnificent out there. I'd like to think that we could have won if he hadn't played, but I doubt it. Their whole team was too good for us today."
Miami was led by Colomb (27 points), Williams (22 points, 2 assists), Romero (12 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a steal). Portland was led by Simmons (20 points, a block), Mendez (15 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block), Kimbell (11 points, 3 blocks).
