CVBL: New York 122, Miami 118
New York beat Miami today in a 122-118 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Miami would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Fenty. But the tide finally turned in the end, with New York star Woods leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said New York coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Woods was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
New York was led by Woods (9 points, 17 assists, 2 steals), Hollis (29 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Brumfield (18 points, 3 assists, 5 blocks). Miami was led by Fenty (22 points, 20 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Files (21 points, 2 assists, a steal), Castro (25 points).
With today's win, New York are now 41-29 and 23-11 at home. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and hold at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this loss, Miami stand at 39-31. They hold at #2 in the Southeast and stay at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
