CVBL: Phoenix 115, Brooklyn 110
A great game plan and solid execution gave Phoenix a 115-110 win over Brooklyn. The game looked like a toss-up on paper, with both teams having strengths and weaknesses. But Phoenix coach Bob had his team better-prepared, and the difference was clear when the teams began play. "It's embarrasing to admit, but I was outcoached today," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "Bob had his team prepared perfectly, and his players did exactly what they were supposed to do."
Phoenix was led by Adams (25 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks), Cruz (16 points, 3 steals), Bell (12 points, 10 boards, 6 assists, 2 blocks). Brooklyn was led by Knight (23 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, a steal, a block), Reddick (14 points, 3 steals), Caraway (20 points, 2 steals).
Phoenix stand at 38-33 with the win. They stay at #2 in the Pacific and improve to #6 overall in the Western Conference. Brooklyn snapped their tear at 6 games, and are now 35-36 and 18-17 at home. They hold at #4 in the Atlantic and remain at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
