CVBL: Milwaukee Beats Utah
Thomas scored 40 points, leading Milwaukee to victory today over Utah in a 91-85 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Coach Young. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Thomas made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Milwaukee coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Utah were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Thomas and getting the win today."
Milwaukee was led by Thomas (40 points, 11 boards, 0 assists), Ott (9 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Martinez (8 points). Utah was led by Edmonds (21 points, 27 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Brown (25 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Banks (10 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals).
Milwaukee jump to 48-24. They stay at #1 in the Central and stay at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Utah broke their winning streak at 5 games, and fall to 28-44 and 16-20 at home. They stay at #4 in the Northwest and stay at #10 overall in the Western Conference.
