CVBL: Charlotte Embarrasses Detroit in 110-75 Win
White had a great game today to lead Charlotte to a 110-75 rout of Detroit. "White played his heart out today, and the rest of the team followed," said Bob of his star's performance. "Admittedly this wasn't the toughest competition we've ever faced, but it's great to see a game where everything works as planned."
Faces were a bit longer in the Detroit locker room. "Everybody knew that Detroit are a great team and that it would take a flawless game on our part and some luck to beat them. But to lose by this kind of margin is disheartening. We were just completely ineffective out there. I'll have to look over the films and try to turn this into a learning experience. Certainly I can pick up some tips from Bob's coaching."
Charlotte was led by White (29 points, 3 assists), Gish (26 points, 1 assists), Plungis (13 points, 4 assists, 2 blocks). Detroit was led by Lacroix (17 points, 7 boards, 1 assists), Martin (10 points, 3 blocks), Degraff (13 points, 2 blocks).
After the victory, Charlotte are now 45-27. They stay at #2 in the Southeast and hold at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, Detroit drop to 42-30 and 21-13 at home. They remain at #2 in the Central and drop to #6 overall in the Eastern Conference.
