CVBL: Coach Hitch Watches Indiana Win
Henderson had 42 points today, as he led Indiana to a 118-110 win over Atlanta. The game lived up to its hype, with both teams having their moments but neither side able to dominate for any extended length of time. Said Henderson after the game, "This one could have easily gone either way. We're just glad that we came out with the win." Coach Coach Hitch echoed the sentiments, saying "Atlanta came out strong and ready to play, and we knew from the start that it would be a battle out there. Probably if we played them 10 times, both sides would get five wins. But we got the win today, and that's what counts."
Atlanta players were disappointed after the game, and coach Bob had his hands full keeping their spirits up. "They know they played their hearts out today, and that it wasn't enough. That's a tough feeling. Especially for Chandler, who had one heck of a game but couldn't carry the whole team on his shoulders."
Indiana was led by Henderson (42 points, 13 boards, 2 assists), Cato (21 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Mccoy (19 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block). Atlanta was led by Chandler (12 points, 6 boards, 9 assists, 3 steals), Moore (21 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Contreras (21 points, a steal).
Indiana snapped their slump at 6 games, and are now 40-31 and 23-14 at home. They stay at #4 in the Central and stay at #8 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this defeat, Atlanta fall to 31-42. They stay at #4 in the Southeast and hold at #12 overall in the Eastern Conference.
