CVBL: Charlotte Clobbers Brooklyn 109-75
Charlotte ruined the day for Brooklyn with a 109-75 blowout. In a pregame interview, Brooklyn coach Bob was optimistic about his team's chances. "We've made some mistakes lately, but if everyone does what they are supposed to we can beat Charlotte. Don't get me wrong, Bob has built a good team and there's a reason they're the favorites. But we're just as good if we stop making our mental mistakes." Said Brooklyn star Steele, "Coach is right. We've done some reworking of our talent and our game plan, and we've got what it takes to play with Charlotte."
Those predictions turned out to be wishful thinking, as Bob and his team will go back to the drawing boards after getting shredded in today's game.
Charlotte was led by Bailey (19 points, 22 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Mckinney (18 points, 15 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Cullum (23 points, a block). Brooklyn was led by Steele (18 points), Knight (12 points, a block), Holmes (13 points, 1 assists).
Charlotte are now 48-24. They hold at #1 in the Southeast and stay at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, Brooklyn are now 35-37 and 18-18 at home. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and remain at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
