CVBL: New York Does What it Takes to Stun Philadelphia 119-117

"New York Cheat Philadelphia," screamed the headlines this morning after some questionable officiating in last night's contest. Even neutral observers wonder whether the set of refs will ever be asked to call another game, as New York got the benefit of every marginal call and a few others that were obviously bad. "The game was rigged more than the WWF," said an upset Philadelphia coach Bob after the game. "You've seen the replays. I don't need to say any more." League officials were slower to jump to conclusions, but an anonymous source said that the commissioner was watching the broadcast and couldn't believe his eyes in some cases. "The commish was saying he could have made better calls off his 5 inch travel TV."

New York was led by Knott (22 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a block), Wicks (9 points, 14 assists, a steal), Harrington (15 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, a block). Philadelphia was led by Simmons (17 points, 13 boards, 2 assists), Smith (17 points, 5 assists), Roberson (11 points, a steal).

After the victory, New York improve to 35-39. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia stand at 42-30 and 24-13 at home. They stay at #2 in the Atlantic and stay at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
