CVBL: Dallas Survives Utah in Overtime
Two great teams battled to a near-deadlock today, with Dallas coming out on top over Utah, 89-87 in overtime. "You run out of superlatives for a game like this," said an exhausted Dallas coach Bob. Indeed, neither team ever really took control, leaving fans of both sides with knots in their stomachs. The action got even more intense when the game headed into overtime, as a single great play or mistake can easily end it. Unfortunately it couldn't last forever, and Dallas pulled off the win.
Dallas was led by Kay (29 points, 7 boards, 2 assists), Burker (8 points, 15 boards, 2 assists, 4 blocks), Meyers (17 points, 0 assists). Utah was led by Edmonds (22 points, 36 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks), Brown (24 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Lee (7 points, 8 assists, 3 steals).
With the win, Dallas jump to 43-30 and 25-11 at home. They stay at #3 in the Southwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference. Utah fall to 28-45 with today's loss. They stay at #4 in the Northwest and stay at #10 overall in the Western Conference.
