CVBL: Oklahoma Cty Upends Denver
Oklahoma Cty pulled off the upset, beating Denver in a game where nobody gave them much of a chance. Their prospects certainly looked bleak on paper, with most predictions giving Denver a solid win thanks to better skill at most positions. But head coach Bob came up with a marvelous game plan and kept Denver coach Bob guessing most of the game. This, as well as a number of solid performances by Johnson and others, gave Oklahoma Cty the edge they needed to come out on top. "I think we caught them by surprise," said Bob after the game. "They played like they expected the win to be handed to them, but we made some adjustments after studying their tendencies and it paid off."
