Houston came out solid today, defying the predictions and notching the 111-109 upset of Miami. "Somebody forgot to tell them they were underdogs," quipped Miami coach Bob after the game. "No question, they were the better team out there today and deserved this win. I thought we came in prepared, but that was just a lot better than we've seen Houston play for some time."

Credit has to be given to Houston coach Bob, who brought his team together after some tough losses earlier and has them playing at their best. "Some of the us really took those losses hard," said star Howard. "But coach sat us down and showed us what we were doing wrong and what we needed to do to turn around. That was great to hear, and you saw the results today."

Houston was led by Howard (34 points, 12 boards, 3 assists, a block), Taylor (10 points, 12 boards, 5 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Leonard (16 points, 6 boards, 2 assists). Miami was led by Fenty (26 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, 5 blocks), Brown (7 points, 11 assists, 2 steals), Jones (18 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, a block).

Houston stand at 35-39 with this win. They stay at #4 in the Southwest and stay at #11 overall in the Western Conference. Miami are now 40-32 and 27-10 at home. They stay at #2 in the Southeast and remain at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
