CVBL: Dallas Gets Win Over Washington
Burker continues to dominate the league and helped Dallas post an expected win over Washington, 106-103. The game was a solid team effort, but Burker - a favorite for post-season honors - was outstanding, completely overshadowing a great performance by Washington key player, Huge.
Burker's coach, Bob, had nothing but praise for his star. "He's just special. It's something just to sit back and watch him do his thing. He certainly brings pride to Dallas fans everywhere." Washington coach Bob was concilliatory after the game as well. "When Burker is doing his thing, you just hope you can keep him under control. We didn't, though Huge certainly did his part. We really thought we could win this game, so the locker room is pretty quiet right now. We'll just have to turn our focus to next week."
Dallas was led by Burker (7 points, 11 boards, 4 assists, 3 blocks), Wilson (13 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a block), Brown (19 points, 1 assists, a steal). Washington was led by Huge (8 points, 18 assists, 3 steals), Robertson (17 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block), Gavagan (17 points, 2 assists).
Dallas jump to 44-30 and 26-11 at home. They stay at #3 in the Southwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference. Washington are now 30-43. They remain at #5 in the Southeast and stay at #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
