CVBL: Miami Beats Atlanta 114-104
Miami beat Atlanta today in a 114-104 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Atlanta would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Simon. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Miami star Keeney leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Miami coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Keeney was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Miami was led by Keeney (32 points, 2 assists, a block), Romero (20 points, 2 assists, 2 steals), Williams (15 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block). Atlanta was led by Simon (30 points), Parker (14 points, 5 boards, 8 assists), Mcnair (12 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, a block).
Miami improve to 46-28 and 30-9 at home. They have clinched the Southeast title and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta fall to 23-50 with today's defeat. They stay at #4 in the Southeast and stay at #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
