CVBL: Charlotte Clobbers New York

Bailey was unstoppable today, leading Charlotte to a 100-86 win over New York. "I've never seen anything like that," said New York star Frazier. "Bailey just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Bailey refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Bailey certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

Charlotte was led by Bailey (28 points, 17 boards, 1 assists, a block), Cullum (22 points, a block), Foster (14 points, a steal). New York was led by Frazier (19 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks), Anders (22 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a block), Scott (16 points, 2 blocks).

Charlotte are now 49-24 and 30-8 at home after today's win. They hold at #1 in the Southeast and stay at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. New York halted their tear at 5 games, and fall to 43-30. They stay at #2 in the Atlantic and stay at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference.
