CVBL: LA Clippers Unstoppable
A rock-solid LA Clippers team routed Indiana, 106-69. "It sure felt good out there," said today's star, Quarles. "We basically accomplished what we wanted to do on offense and defense. Coach's game plan worked perfectly."
Indiana coach Coach Hitch was disappointed with the game, but not completely surprised. "LA Clippers is a great team, and we knew going in that if they played their best we didn't stand a chance. The only way we were going to win was if we got some breaks, and we didn't. But it was a great learning experience; they showed us our weaknesses."
LA Clippers was led by Quarles (33 points, 1 assists), Minor (12 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 6 blocks), Johnson (21 points). Indiana was led by Harvey (20 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block), Love (19 points), Cato (8 points, 2 steals).
LA Clippers improve to 69-6 with today's win. They have won the Pacific crown and stay at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Indiana extended their losing streak 5 games and are now 20-53 and 15-23 at home. They stay at #5 in the Central and hold at #15 overall in the Eastern Conference.
