CVBL: Utah 99, Atlanta 84

Patton was unstoppable today, leading Utah to a 99-84 win over Atlanta. "I've never seen anything like that," said Atlanta star Perry. "Patton just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Patton refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Patton certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

Utah was led by Patton (23 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Feaster (12 points, 14 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Sparenberg (5 points, 10 assists, 2 steals, a block). Atlanta was led by Perry (14 points, 7 boards, 1 assists), Clay (14 points, 1 assists, a block), Mcnair (12 points, 1 assists, a block).

With today's victory, Utah improve to 42-32 and 24-13 at home. They stay at #3 in the Northwest and stay at #6 overall in the Western Conference. Atlanta extended their losing streak 5 games and are now 23-51. They remain at #4 in the Southeast and hold at #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
