CVBL: Indiana Pulls Out Upset of Miami
Coming in as heavy underdogs, Indiana turned some heads today with a solid 104-94 win over Miami. Said one broadcaster, "I didn't know Indiana were that good, quite frankly. They really haven't done much all season, but the way they came in and handled Miami showed what they're capable of."
The thoughts were echoed by Miami coach Bob. "We had pretty thorough film sessions coming into the game, and we never saw them execute that well. [Indiana coach] Coach Hitch did a great job getting them ready, and we'll have to see if this was a one-time performance or if they can maintain that level of play."
Indiana was led by Henderson (37 points, 8 boards, 2 assists), Mccoy (18 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks), Borenstein (5 points, 30 boards, 0 assists). Miami was led by Torres (9 points, 14 assists, 5 steals), James (22 points, a steal), Atwood (18 points, 0 assists).
Indiana improve to 42-32 and 24-14 at home after today's win. They hold at #3 in the Central and hold at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. After this defeat, Miami drop to 47-28. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
