CVBL: Indiana Wins Confidently Over Cleveland 106-89
Indiana brushed past an overmatched Cleveland team today 106-89. Always politically correct, Indiana coach Coach Hitch stated simply "We just managed to do what we needed to get done out there. The players had solid execution all around, and Mack's effort helped set the pace. Cleveland is a team we've had success against in the past, which I think gave us a bit more confidence coming in."
Cleveland coach Bob was a little more frank. "We knew going in that we'd need a miracle to beat Indiana, and we didn't get it. They have better players and a better coach, and did what they were supposed to do out there. I'm just glad the final score wasn't even worse."
Indiana was led by Mack (11 points, 2 steals), Wade (23 points, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Sigler (18 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks). Cleveland was led by Stancil (10 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, a block), Tatum (13 points, 2 assists, a block), Martin (19 points, a block).
Indiana are now 40-36 and 24-14 at home with today's victory. They stay at #2 in the Central and stay at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland stand at 29-45 with today's defeat. They stay at #4 in the Central and stay at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
