CVBL: Oklahoma Cty Takes Out Sacramento in a Big Win for Bob
A much-improved Oklahoma Cty team pulled off the 95-78 upset of Sacramento today. "That's the best we've played all season," said Oklahoma Cty coach Bob. "I've seen that potential in us all along, but for some reason it hasn't come out during games. Hopefully this outing can be the turning point for us that we can build on in future games."
Sacramento was caught off-guard by new-look Oklahoma Cty. "What we got out there today wasn't what we had seen before or on tape, even in their best games. So while we always try to prepare for the worst, we had no idea that they could play as well as they did today. I still think we can beat them, and next time we'll have an idea what to look for."
Oklahoma Cty was led by Golden (17 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, 5 blocks), Johnson (26 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a steal), Joseph (12 points, a steal, 2 blocks). Sacramento was led by Bravo (19 points, 3 steals), Stanford (9 points, 16 boards, 2 assists), Taylor (5 points, a steal).
After today's victory, Oklahoma Cty improve to 37-40 and 23-16 at home. They move up to #4 in the Northwest and advance to #9 overall in the Western Conference. Sacramento fall to 54-22. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference.
