CVBL: Toronto Beats Boston 115-111
Toronto star Horne led his team to a win today in a key game against Boston. Although standings were at stake, the game was as much about bragging rights as anything. The teams have a long history against each other that began when coaches Bob and Bob traded insults after an apparently intentional injury to one of Bob's players. Although Bob has long denied that there was any malicious intent, Toronto fans don't believe it and turn out in large numbers whenever Boston comes to town.
Toronto was led by Horne (17 points, 12 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, a block), Moore (32 points, 8 boards, 1 assists), Whitaker (22 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a steal). Boston was led by Walker (29 points, 2 assists, 3 steals), Stubbs (30 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a steal), Rabb (11 points, a steal, 3 blocks).
Toronto improve to 40-35. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and stay at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Boston fall to 30-44 and 20-18 at home after the loss. They hold at #5 in the Atlantic and stay at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
