CVBL: Brooklyn 94, Phoenix 90
Lee led Brooklyn to victory today over Phoenix in a 94-90 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Lee made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Brooklyn coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Phoenix were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Lee and getting the win today."
Brooklyn was led by Lee (13 points, 23 boards, 0 assists, 8 blocks), Jeanlouis (26 points), Fuller (17 points, a block). Phoenix was led by Celaya (27 points, 3 assists, a steal), Hughes (6 points, 5 boards, 10 assists, 2 steals), Thompson (6 points, 10 boards, 2 assists).
Brooklyn are now 52-24 after the win. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. After this loss, Phoenix are now 35-41 and 21-19 at home. They hold at #3 in the Pacific and stay at #11 overall in the Western Conference.
