CVBL: Bob Satisfied With Miami Win
In one of the most important games of the season for both teams, Miami upstaged New Orleans 108-95. Showing more glitter than a Brittany Spears concert, perfect Miami execution, a brilliant game by Williams, and impeccable play-calling by Bob provided all the right ingredients for a big win.
Mitchell was key for New Orleans, but after the game he looked like somebody had just run over his dog. "I thought we could do it. The whole game I was still thinking we were going to win. I guess that's the difference between thinking it and doing it. Give Miami credit - they are nothing but class. I just feel sorry for coach Bob. He had us ready and we let him down."
Miami was led by Williams (21 points, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Colomb (25 points, 0 assists, a block), Keeney (14 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks). New Orleans was led by Mitchell (13 points, a steal), Jones (19 points, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Haines (18 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block).
