CVBL: Detroit Wins Big
Detroit gave a solid effort, handling New York with ease in today's 107-84 win. This came as no surprise to Detroit fans, who have been watching their team continue to improve recently. Players are starting to feel more confident as well. "I feel we can take on just about anybody right now," said today's star, Bigelow. "The way this team's playing, there's no limit to how far we can go." Detroit head coach David Smith echoed his sentiment, saying "They all know they're as good as any other team in the league. They just have to stay focused and keep working, and the rest will take care of itself."
Lost in the excitement over Detroit was the performance of New York star Frazier.
Detroit was led by Bigelow (8 points, 12 boards, 2 assists, a block), Johnson (16 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Burke (10 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, a block). New York was led by Frazier (18 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Anders (6 points, 14 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Matthews (23 points).
