CVBL: Milwaukee Spoilers for Charlotte
Charlotte collapsed today, allowing Milwaukee to pull off a huge upset. The final score of 100-91 was less surprising than the Charlotte performance, one of the worst in the last two seasons by the team. "They look like they're on vacation playing a pickup game," said one of the commentators of the game. "Do they even care that this game matters?" Indeed, Bailey was the only Charlotte player that did well.
After the game, Milwaukee coach Bob was as stunned as the reporters. "Well, I didn't really think we had a chance. I figured we'd go in, put up the best opposition we could, and try to come out without getting pounded too badly. But after I saw the way they were playing, I knew we had a chance to pull it off. I told Young that this was our chance to win the big one, and that he needed to rally the troops. That's exactly what he did, and we were able to come out on top."
Milwaukee was led by Young (19 points, 11 boards, 6 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Fraser (5 points, 11 assists, 5 steals), Yates (20 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks). Charlotte was led by Bailey (10 points, 26 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks), Foster (31 points), Vance (15 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block).
Milwaukee improve to 31-44 and 21-16 at home with this win. They stay at #3 in the Central and improve to #10 overall in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte drop to 49-27. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
