CVBL: Dallas Pulls Off Upset over LA Clippers
"Dallas Cheat LA Clippers," screamed the headlines this morning after some questionable officiating in last night's contest. Even neutral observers wonder whether the set of refs will ever be asked to call another game, as Dallas got the benefit of every marginal call and a few others that were obviously bad. "The game was rigged more than the WWF," said an upset LA Clippers coach Adnan Bislimovic after the game. "You've seen the replays. I don't need to say any more." League officials were slower to jump to conclusions, but an anonymous source said that the commissioner was watching the broadcast and couldn't believe his eyes in some cases. "The commish was saying he could have made better calls off his 5 inch travel TV."
Dallas was led by Meyers (16 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 5 steals), Madison (16 points, a block), Meyers (10 points, 10 boards, 0 assists). LA Clippers was led by Williams (12 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Wood (15 points, a block), Feaster (9 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block).
After today's victory, Dallas improve to 46-32 and 27-11 at home. They stay at #3 in the Southwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference. LA Clippers fall to 54-24. They clinched the Pacific crown and stay at #3 overall in the Western Conference.
