CVBL: Dallas Clobbers Utah
Dallas brushed past an overmatched Utah team today 109-91. Always politically correct, Dallas coach Bob stated simply "We just managed to do what we needed to get done out there. The players had solid execution all around, and Digiulio's effort helped set the pace. Utah is a team we've had success against in the past, which I think gave us a bit more confidence coming in."
Utah coach Coach Young was a little more frank. "We knew going in that we'd need a miracle to beat Dallas, and we didn't get it. They have better players and a better coach, and did what they were supposed to do out there. I'm just glad the final score wasn't even worse."
Dallas was led by Digiulio (19 points, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Reed (14 points, a steal, a block), Dossman (13 points, 0 assists, a steal, a block). Utah was led by Bernard (15 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Morris (21 points, 2 steals, a block), Ensley (22 points).
Dallas jump to 47-30 and 30-10 at home. They remain at #2 in the Southwest and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference. Utah are now 41-36. They hold at #3 in the Northwest and remain at #6 overall in the Western Conference.
