CVBL: Philadelphia Stumbles, Boston Win

A gutsy outing by Boston, combined with a few breaks, gave them a 124-106 upset of Philadelphia. Philadelphia was the favorite coming in, and it showed when they were sharp. But Philadelphia played their hearts out and stuck around, which put them in position to capitalize on what chances they were given. "They played about the perfect game, given the team's talent," said Philadelphia coach Bob. "[Boston coach] Bob did a splendid job getting them ready for the game, and they didn't give us anything for free."

Said Boston star Jasper, "Coach just told us to go out there and stay focused. Told us that if we played a mistake-free game, it could be ours to win. And that's exactly what happened."

Boston was led by Jasper (25 points, a steal, a block), Morse (28 points, 2 blocks), Woodard (9 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 3 blocks). Philadelphia was led by Evans (32 points, 1 assists), Burke (23 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Austin (11 points, a steal).

Boston improve to 29-49 and 19-21 at home. They hold at #5 in the Atlantic and stay at #11 overall in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia stand at 42-36. They hold at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
