CVBL: Toronto Pulls out the Win over Brooklyn
The fans got what they came out for, as Toronto won a seesaw 95-92 victory over Brooklyn. "What a great game to have been a part of," said Toronto star Moore. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."
Brooklyn coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Moore and [Brooklyn star] Reddick really put on a show for the fans."
Toronto was led by Moore (25 points, 16 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Horne (10 points, 12 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Hunter (9 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, a block). Brooklyn was led by Reddick (5 points, 10 assists, 2 steals), Rosemond (21 points, 1 assists), Knight (20 points, a steal).
Toronto improve to 42-36 and 27-11 at home after this victory. They hold at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn stand at 37-41 after the defeat. They hold at #4 in the Atlantic and stay at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
