CVBL: Indiana Knocks Off Brooklyn
Indiana are ahead in the Eastern Conference First Round 1-0 with a 100-85 upset of Brooklyn. Brooklyn was the favorite coming in, and it showed when they were sharp. But Brooklyn played their hearts out and stuck around, which put them in position to capitalize on what chances they were given. "They played about the perfect game, given the team's talent," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "[Indiana coach] Coach Hitch did a splendid job getting them ready for the game, and they didn't give us anything for free."
Said Indiana star Mack, "Coach just told us to go out there and stay focused. Told us that if we played a mistake-free game, it could be ours to win. And that's exactly what happened."
Indiana was led by Mack (14 points, 6 boards, 18 assists, 8 steals), Sigler (22 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, 3 blocks), Gray (15 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals). Brooklyn was led by Spring (25 points, a steal), Jeanlouis (14 points, 4 assists, a block), Olson (14 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks).
