CVBL: Milwaukee Pull Ahead 1-0 in Eastern Conference First Round
Milwaukee lead Indiana in the Eastern Conference First Round 1-0 with a 106-97 win, taking advantage of critical Indiana mistakes. "They got a gift, no question in my mind," grumbled Indiana coach Coach Hitch. "We outplayed them today, but just couldn't come up with the big plays when we were threatening to score. I just can't wait until the rematch; we'll show them who's really the best."
Milwaukee coach Bob saw things a little differently. "I'm proud of our defensive effort today. They avoided giving up the big plays, and really came through in the key situations. Coach Hitch may blame his offense, but they'd have been able to score if they didn't have good opposition."
Milwaukee was led by Thomas (41 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a block), Jaramillo (12 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Hunter (13 points, 2 blocks). Indiana was led by Cato (31 points, 6 boards, 2 assists), Mccoy (18 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, a block), Craig (17 points, a steal, a block).
