CVBL: Sacramento Defeats Utah 82-75
Sacramento lead Utah in the Western Conference First Round 2-0 as they beat Utah today 82-75. But the big headlines in the game came from an incident involving Utah players and coach Coach Young after the game. After the players disappeared into their respective locker rooms, Utah players reportedly attacked coach, throwing him to the ground. Reporters waiting outside heard only pieces of the shouting, but the players were clearly upset by Coach Young's questionable calls late in the game. Utah star Feaster was one of those involved, and was still upset about the situation during the post-game interviews. "I'm not free to comment on what happened," he said. "But I will tell you that I'm working my tail off every game and expect the same effort from my teammates and coaches."
Interviews with Sacramento players were a bit less exciting, with Stanford giving the cliche line "we're just happy to come out with the win. Coach Coach Young and his team gave a good fight, but we were the better team today."
Sacramento was led by Stanford (12 points, 23 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Bravo (31 points, 9 boards, 1 assists), Sherrill (14 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block). Utah was led by Feaster (18 points, 21 boards, 0 assists), Patton (16 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Hurd (10 points, 3 assists).
