CVBL: Utah Comes up Big Over Portland
Utah leveled the the Western Conference First Round 1-1 with a 78-73 victory over Portland. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Robinson made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Utah coach Coach Young was equally admiring of his star. "Portland were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Robinson and getting the win today."
Utah was led by Robinson (23 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Shaw (5 points, 13 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Baker (7 points, 3 steals).
