CVBL: Chicago Go Up 3-0 in Eastern Conference First Round
Chicago are ahead in the Eastern Conference First Round 3-0 with a 121-109 upset keyed by Mcadoo's great play. There's no question that New York is the better team, and even after today's loss they remain ranked ahead of Chicago. But that wasn't important today, when Mcadoo took over and carried his team to a win. "What a gift," grinned Chicago coach Bob. "The rest of the team got outplayed, but Mcadoo stepped up and got us the win. No complaints, but we'd be surprised to get another win over New York."
Said losing coach Bob, "What a tough way to lose. It seemed like we had everything under control today. We pretty much did what we wanted, except for Mcadoo."
Chicago was led by Mcadoo (18 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, 5 blocks), Joseph (26 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals), Smith (25 points, 0 assists). New York was led by Crawford (21 points, 1 assists, a block), Howie (13 points, 2 steals), Powell (12 points, 11 boards, 3 assists).
