CVBL: Chicago Continue to the Eastern Conference Semifinals with Sweep of Miami 4-0
Chicago got beyond the Eastern Conference First Round by dominating Miami 4-0 thanks to some questionable officiating in last night's contest. Even neutral observers wonder whether the set of refs will ever be asked to call another game, as Chicago got the benefit of every marginal call and a few others that were obviously bad. "The game was rigged more than the WWF," said an upset Miami coach Bob after the game. "You've seen the replays. I don't need to say any more." League officials were slower to jump to conclusions, but an anonymous source said that the commissioner was watching the broadcast and couldn't believe his eyes in some cases. "The commish was saying he could have made better calls off his 5 inch travel TV."
Chicago was led by Wilson (16 points, 2 steals), Meyers (19 points, 5 boards, 3 assists), Joyner (22 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, a block). Miami was led by Torres (14 points, 5 boards, 16 assists, a steal), Perry (16 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), James (17 points, 2 assists, a steal).
