CVBL: Philadelphia Pulls Off Upset over Brooklyn
Philadelphia leveled the the Eastern Conference First Round 2-2 thanks to some questionable officiating in last night's contest. Even neutral observers wonder whether the set of refs will ever be asked to call another game, as Philadelphia got the benefit of every marginal call and a few others that were obviously bad. "The game was rigged more than the WWF," said an upset Brooklyn coach Bob after the game. "You've seen the replays. I don't need to say any more." League officials were slower to jump to conclusions, but an anonymous source said that the commissioner was watching the broadcast and couldn't believe his eyes in some cases. "The commish was saying he could have made better calls off his 5 inch travel TV."
Philadelphia was led by Simmons (23 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, a block), Franklin (17 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Scott (18 points, 1 assists, a steal). Brooklyn was led by Owens (26 points, 4 steals, a block), Jeanlouis (21 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a block), Tucker (18 points, 1 assists).
