CVBL: Minnesota Go Up 3-2 in Western Conference First Round
Minnesota are ahead of Phoenix in the Western Conference First Round 3-2 after beating Phoenix in close 89-86 game. For much of the game, it looked like Phoenix would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Berry. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Minnesota star Daniels leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Minnesota coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Daniels was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Minnesota was led by Daniels (23 points, 16 boards, 0 assists, 4 blocks), Golden (18 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Jensen (9 points, 5 assists, a steal). Phoenix was led by Berry (26 points, 3 assists, a steal, a block), Jones (21 points, 10 boards, 1 assists), Worrel (13 points, 1 assists).
