CVBL: Sacramento Embarrasses Minnesota in 112-73 Win
Sacramento are ahead of Minnesota in the Western Conference First Round 3-2, after blowing out Minnesota in a rout that surprised even their own fans. The 112-73 final score was enough of a headline, but the game wasn't even as close as that score indicated as Sacramento coach Bob played it conservative most of the game to avoid running up the score too much. "Boy, it's great to see our offense click like that," he said. "It's like a gourmet restaurant - everything on the menu looked good." Said losing coach Bob, "We were just outclassed, no question. We don't have the talent they do, and we weren't as prepared coming in. And it was definitely classy of Bob to pull his key players halfway through the game."
Sacramento was led by Brown (14 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 6 blocks), Velazquez (25 points, 3 blocks), Stanford (10 points, 15 boards, 0 assists). Minnesota was led by Dirks (22 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Lundy (11 points, a block), Mark (11 points, 0 assists).
