CVBL: LA Clippers Puts on a Demonstration
LA Clippers will continue to the Western Conference Semifinals by sending home Minnesota 4-2. They pounded Minnesota 109-75 and sent even the most loyal Minnesota fans home early. "If I had wanted to watch this quality of play, I'd have watched my kid's pee-wee game," said one upset fan. "I mean, they were committing mistakes left and right. Maybe they'd have lost anyway, but LA Clippers got this game handed to them on a silver platter. It's been this way ever since Bob took over as head coach of the team; hopefully enough of these losses and we'll be rid of him."
Minnesota players were quick to defend their embattled coach, though. "It's not him, it's us. He's not the one out there playing the game." Nobody can deny, however, that Bob was the one who prepared the team. Time will tell whether he survives or not.
LA Clippers was led by Brown (24 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, a block), Davidson (7 points, 2 steals), Murphy (13 points, 14 boards, 0 assists, a steal). Minnesota was led by Mark (14 points, 9 boards, 2 assists), Powers (6 points, 3 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Prince (9 points, 2 steals).
