CVBL: Brooklyn Gets Solid 87-76 Win
Brooklyn evened the Eastern Conference Semifinals 1-1 with a solid 87-76 win over Detroit. "I don't think we left any doubt over who was the better team today," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "We pretty much did whatever we wanted out there, and I don't think they ever figured out what to do about Hargrove's play."
It will be a tough task for Detroit coach David Smith to get his team up for their next game. "We really came in believing that we had a shot to win this one, but obviously that didn't happen. They outplayed us from the start, and there weren't too many happy faces in the locker room afterwards."
Brooklyn was led by Hargrove (14 points, 13 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Jackson (6 points, 4 steals, a block), Owens (18 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, 2 blocks). Detroit was led by Lacroix (14 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Degraff (24 points, 1 assists), Martin (16 points, 2 steals, 3 blocks).
