CVBL: Philadelphia Still Down 1-2 in Eastern Conference Semifinals
Philadelphia closed the gap against Toronto in the Eastern Conference Semifinals 1-2 with a 114-104 win over Toronto. Although some pundits were predicting a blowout, the two teams delivered a memorable game that left the fans on the edges of their seats until the very end. "It's one of those games that nobody should have to lose," said Philadelphia coach Bob. "I'm definitely glad it wasn't us."
Toronto coach Bob will be rethinking some of his choices for some time. "I thought we tried the right things at the right times, but of course hindsight is perfect. Obviously not everything we did worked, though, and in a game like this that could have made the difference."
Philadelphia was led by Phelan (30 points), Schlegel (10 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Hargrove (22 points). Toronto was led by Moore (23 points, 11 boards, 3 assists), Whitaker (23 points, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Chiles (9 points, 8 assists, a steal, a block).
