CVBL: Denver Pull Ahead 3-1 in Western Conference Semifinals
Denver are leading New Orleans in the Western Conference Semifinals 3-1 after beating New Orleans in close 107-103 game. For much of the game, it looked like New Orleans would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Howie. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Denver star Stith leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Denver coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Stith was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Denver was led by Stith (22 points, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Hayes (13 points, 4 assists, 2 blocks), Simmons (20 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a block). New Orleans was led by Howie (38 points, 3 assists, a block), Taylor (12 points, 6 assists, 2 steals), Cummings (8 points, 4 assists, 2 blocks).
