CVBL: Chicago Tie Series 3-3 in Eastern Conference Semifinals
Chicago leveled the the Eastern Conference Semifinals 3-3 with a 106-86 upset keyed by Wilson's great play. There's no question that Milwaukee is the better team, and even after today's loss they remain ranked ahead of Chicago. But that wasn't important today, when Wilson took over and carried his team to a win. "What a gift," grinned Chicago coach Bob. "The rest of the team got outplayed, but Wilson stepped up and got us the win. No complaints, but we'd be surprised to get another win over Milwaukee."
Said losing coach Bob, "What a tough way to lose. It seemed like we had everything under control today. We pretty much did what we wanted, except for Wilson."
Chicago was led by Wilson (11 points, 3 steals), Joyner (21 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, a block), Horton (19 points, 10 boards, 0 assists). Milwaukee was led by Hunter (22 points, a block), Banks (9 points, 5 assists, a steal), Ott (11 points, 7 boards, 0 assists).
