CVBL: Detroit Wins 118-105
Detroit brushed past an overmatched Cleveland team today 118-105. Always politically correct, Detroit coach David Smith stated simply "We just managed to do what we needed to get done out there. The players had solid execution all around, and Henderson's effort helped set the pace. Cleveland is a team we've had success against in the past, which I think gave us a bit more confidence coming in."
Cleveland coach Bob was a little more frank. "We knew going in that we'd need a miracle to beat Detroit, and we didn't get it. They have better players and a better coach, and did what they were supposed to do out there. I'm just glad the final score wasn't even worse."
Detroit was led by Henderson (37 points, 0 assists), Day (15 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Wood (12 points, 18 boards, 0 assists, a block). Cleveland was led by Sigler (24 points, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Reeve (21 points, 10 boards, 1 assists), Fanny (16 points, a steal).
