CVBL: Memphis Defeats LA Clippers 85-84

Memphis squeezed out a win today against LA Clippers, 85-84. Both teams came out of the gates strong but a late game push by Memphis was just enough to hold off LA Clippers. Coach Bob said, "This game is really a sign of things to come. We come out and play hard every night. Things are looking up, and the fans of Memphis have a lot to look forward to after this victory."

In the LA Clippers locker room after the game, players were in a somber mood. Even after the great team performance led by Minor, they still come up short. "We deserved to win. That was our game - we just need to be able to put our opposition away when we have them down. We really were the better team." said Minor after the game.

Memphis was led by Canul (6 points, 25 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Thomas (16 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Hunter (5 points, 6 boards, 7 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks). LA Clippers was led by Minor (9 points, 14 boards, 3 assists, a block), Quarles (18 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, a block), Johnson (21 points).
