CVBL: Miami Beats Utah 105-103

Miami beat Utah today, 105-103. But the big headlines in the game came from an incident involving Utah players and coach Coach Young after the game. After the players disappeared into their respective locker rooms, Utah players reportedly attacked coach, throwing him to the ground. Reporters waiting outside heard only pieces of the shouting, but the players were clearly upset by Coach Young's questionable calls late in the game. Utah star Feaster was one of those involved, and was still upset about the situation during the post-game interviews. "I'm not free to comment on what happened," he said. "But I will tell you that I'm working my tail off every game and expect the same effort from my teammates and coaches."

Interviews with Miami players were a bit less exciting, with Romero giving the cliche line "we're just happy to come out with the win. Coach Coach Young and his team gave a good fight, but we were the better team today."

Miami was led by Romero (24 points, 13 boards, 0 assists), Williams (26 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Colomb (18 points, 2 steals, 2 blocks). Utah was led by Feaster (25 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Jones (19 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block), Cummings (18 points, 1 assists, a steal).

Miami stand at 1-0 and 1-0 at home. They advance to #1 in the Southeast and improve to #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Utah are now 0-1 with the defeat. They stay at #3 in the Northwest and move down to #11 overall in the Western Conference.
