CVBL: Houston Wins Over Dallas 98-82

In one of the most important games of the season for both teams, Houston upstaged Dallas 98-82. Showing more glitter than a Brittany Spears concert, perfect Houston execution, a brilliant game by Lewis, and impeccable play-calling by Bob provided all the right ingredients for a big win.

Perry was key for Dallas, but after the game he looked like somebody had just run over his dog. "I thought we could do it. The whole game I was still thinking we were going to win. I guess that's the difference between thinking it and doing it. Give Houston credit - they are nothing but class. I just feel sorry for coach Bob. He had us ready and we let him down."

Houston was led by Lewis (25 points, 1 assists), Laboy (16 points, a steal), Groninger (11 points, 10 boards, 0 assists). Dallas was led by Perry (20 points, a steal, a block), White (8 points, 9 boards, 1 assists), Forrester (15 points, a block).

Houston jump to 1-0. They move down to #2 in the Southwest and drop to #4 overall in the Western Conference. Dallas stand at 0-1 and 0-1 at home after this defeat. They fall to #4 in the Southwest and drop to #12 overall in the Western Conference.
