CVBL: Washington 108, Boston 106

Stinson led Washington to victory today over Boston in a 108-106 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Stinson made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."

Washington coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Boston were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Stinson and getting the win today."

Washington was led by Stinson (22 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, a block), Powell (16 points, 11 assists, a block), Butler (12 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks). Boston was led by Odell (20 points, 11 boards, 0 assists), Jackson (5 points, 11 assists, 2 steals), Walker (8 points, 4 assists, a steal, a block).

With the victory, Washington jump to 1-0 and 1-0 at home. They advance to #1 in the Southeast and improve to #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Boston drop to 0-1 with the defeat. They drop to #5 in the Atlantic and drop to #14 overall in the Eastern Conference.
