CVBL: Brooklyn Breaks out Whoopin' Stick
Brooklyn ruined the day for Boston with a 100-73 blowout. In a pregame interview, Boston coach Bob was optimistic about his team's chances. "We've made some mistakes lately, but if everyone does what they are supposed to we can beat Brooklyn. Don't get me wrong, Bob has built a good team and there's a reason they're the favorites. But we're just as good if we stop making our mental mistakes." Said Boston star Guevara, "Coach is right. We've done some reworking of our talent and our game plan, and we've got what it takes to play with Brooklyn."
Those predictions turned out to be wishful thinking, as Bob and his team will go back to the drawing boards after getting shredded in today's game.
Brooklyn was led by Fuller (21 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, a block), Lee (22 points, 0 assists, a block), Jeanlouis (12 points, 4 blocks). Boston was led by Guevara (16 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block), Dick (10 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Morse (16 points, a block).
Brooklyn jump to 1-0 and 1-0 at home. They drop to #2 in the Atlantic and drop to #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. Boston drop to 0-1. They advance to #4 in the Atlantic and move up to #12 overall in the Eastern Conference.
