CVBL: Charlotte Wins Big
Charlotte posted a solid 99-88 win over Milwaukee today. "I don't think we left any doubt over who was the better team today," said Charlotte coach Bob. "We pretty much did whatever we wanted out there, and I don't think they ever figured out what to do about Murphy's play."
It will be a tough task for Milwaukee coach Bob to get his team up for their next game. "We really came in believing that we had a shot to win this one, but obviously that didn't happen. They outplayed us from the start, and there weren't too many happy faces in the locker room afterwards."
Charlotte was led by Murphy (16 points, 17 boards, 5 assists, a steal, a block), Neal (8 points, 13 assists, 3 steals), Williams (25 points, 0 assists, 3 blocks). Milwaukee was led by Fiore (23 points, 2 steals), Cummings (14 points, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Mackey (13 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a block).
With this victory, Charlotte are now 1-0 and 1-0 at home. They remain at #3 in the Southeast and fall to #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee stand at 0-1 with today's defeat. They improve to #4 in the Central and advance to #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
